Today I decided to take my horse (Violet) out for a ride. I haven't been riding much for the past 3 months with surgery and back problems. The weather was just right for a short ride. I rode around our corn field in back of my house which is 60 + acres. So it was a little longer then I thought. Had a lot of fun.

I gave my daughter her first ride around the lawn.

  1. What a great mother-daughter photo. Just look at the smile on your daughter's face. How lucky she is to have a mommy like you and be able to live in such a warm and friendly environment.

  2. Hey Becky, thanks for stopping by. I posted your entries to the name my puppy contest. I liked them both. I love your pretty little Violet. My friend, Crystal, at ranchriding.blogspot.com has a palamino paint that reminds me of her. I'd guess we have liking cows (but probably not bulls) in common. Thanks for entering the contest

  3. It is different giving your baby a ride verse just riding alone. I remember taking my little girl for her first ride, when I handed her back to her grandpa I was shaking like a leaf. I had never to my knowledge ever been afraid on horseback before, then I knew something had changed for the better. Sweet picture. Lovely horse and cornfield.
