Fall has come and gone here in Maine. The trees where beautiful as always but now have dropped all of their leaves. This picture of the sky was taken on Halloween night. It looks a little spooky. I'm a big Wizard of Oz fan and my brother told me that this picture should have flying monkey in it.
My daughter's Halloween party that was held in our sugar house was a lot of fun. The witch is my daughter Elizabeth.
We had a hay ride at the party to collect pumpkins in a field. The two dressed up on the back of the wagon are my brother and niece, they came out of the woods to scare the kids. I'm so fortunate to have my father and two brother live next door. We all work together and get to do a lot of fun things together.
Some nice maple trees up the road from the farm. Hope to tap them in the Spring.

This field is across the road from my house. Love all the maple trees they're so beautiful. My daughter looking for the perfect pumpkin.
With all of these it might take awhile.

One of my sedums next to the house.

Fall decorations on the steps.

The pumpkins are a few that was choose to come home. Planning on a having Halloween party in a couple of weeks so I will post pics, the party is going to take place in our sugar house so you will be able to see a little of the sugar house. In a few more months we will start working on getting everything ready for maple sugar season.

This weekend was a busy one for us we had a yard sale on Saturday. You can collect so much stuff mostly baby things. There's a time where you just have to tell yourself that you need to get rid of some of it.

Sunday we went to Storyland in New Hampshire and along the way we pasted a farm stand(Weston's Farm) in Fryeburg, Maine that looked really fun to spend some time at. But on the way home my daughter fell asleep so we didn't stop. That didn't stop me from going back to the farm stand a friend and I went on Monday. The flowers and pumpkins where out of this world. These are some of the Mums at Weston's Farm.

Hard to decide which one to get. There was so many to pick from.

This little butterfly was at Storyland.

My daughter with Humpty Dumpty at Storyland.
It was a busy weekend but a lot of fun. I love Fall. Now to get going on decorating for Fall and Halloween.

My babies.

Each calf has a name tag in her ear that has a number on it with her date of birth and other info.
My babies, I feed 10 of these a bottle of milk in the morning and my niece or nephew feed them at night. Each calf has her own house (hut) they stay in these till they are around 6 months old then get moved into the big barn.

These are some of the cows at Parsons Farm LLC. Our cows are free stall so the walk around loose. They walk into the milkin parlor twice a day.

Today I decided to take my horse (Violet) out for a ride. I haven't been riding much for the past 3 months with surgery and back problems. The weather was just right for a short ride. I rode around our corn field in back of my house which is 60 + acres. So it was a little longer then I thought. Had a lot of fun.

I gave my daughter her first ride around the lawn.

The girls.

This morning when I got down to my hen house all the girls where MIA, the hen house was empty. I looked around to see what was going on and one of the door had blown open so all the girls (hens) and Mr. Boss (rooster) got out on me. I had some cukes from my garden so they came running for some thing to eat most of them all went in Mr. Boss didn't. I think he's lookin for my other rooster (Duke) to fight with.

Flowers

These are some of the flowers I have in my garden. Not sure if they are some type of lily or not.
